Community Relations & Events Director (Volunteer)

This role involves developing and executing strategies to build strong relationships between the organization and various community stakeholders. This includes the general public, local authorities, partner organizations, and rural communities. A key aspect is planning and managing events that raise awareness about fire prevention and rural preservation, as well as fostering community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing community outreach programs.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with community leaders and organizations.
  • Responding to community inquiries and concerns.
  • Facilitating dialogue between the organization and the community.

Must Have

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent event planning and management skills.
  • Perfect written English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in environmental or rural preservation.
  • Knowledge of fire safety and prevention.
  • Fluency in multiple European languages.
  • Experience with graphic design, or video production.
