The EFPRP requires articulate and dedicated journalists to serve as the voice of rural preservation. As a Field Correspondent, you will investigate wildfire causes, document prevention initiatives, and interview key stakeholders.
Your reporting will drive our advocacy efforts, ensuring that the challenges facing European rural communities are accurately told to a global audience.
Responsibilities
- Research and write comprehensive articles on fire safety, environmental policy, and rural preservation.
- Conduct interviews with firefighters, local mayors, and agricultural leaders.
- Track regional developments regarding wildfire incidents and environmental legislation.
- Work closely with the Editorial Director to ensure all content meets EFPRP standards.
Must Have
- Exceptional command of written English (C1/C2).
- Background in journalism, political science, or communications.
- Ability to distill complex technical data into engaging narratives.
- High ethical standards and political neutrality.
Nice to have
- Fluency in French or another major European language.
- Experience in crisis or environmental reporting.
- Existing network within local rural communities.
