Junior Compliance Officer (Volunteer)

The Junior Compliance Officer acts as the guardian of the EFPRP's internal integrity. In this role, you will move beyond simple legal theory to understand how an organization actually functions within the boundaries of the law. You will be responsible for mapping internal processes, ensuring data privacy standards (GDPR), and verifying that our operations align with both our internal statutes and external European regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the maintenance of the Register of Processing Activities and ensuring all volunteer data handling complies with CNIL/GDPR standards.
  • Periodically reviewing internal procedures (onboarding, financial reporting, partnerships) to ensure they match the organization’s Bylaws (Statuts).
  • Updating the organization's risk register, specifically focusing on liability regarding rural preservation activities and volunteer safety.
  • Helping to draft clear, accessible internal policies (e.g., Code of Conduct, IT Usage Policy) for all staff members.

Must Have

  • Student in Public Law (Droit Public), Corporate Governance, or Compliance (Master 1 or 2 preferred).
  • A logical thinker who enjoys creating order and structure.
  • A strong ethical compass and the confidence to raise issues when procedures are not followed.
  • Native/Bilingual French and professional operational English.

Nice to have

  • Any initial certification or serious coursework in GDPR/RGPD or Compliance.
  • Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles or data management tools.
