Visual Documentation & Archive Officer (Volunteer)

We are seeking a talented visual artist to build the European Rural Heritage Archive. In this prestigious role, you will be responsible for visually cataloging the landscapes we protect, the wildlife we cherish, and the men and women who serve on the frontlines of fire prevention. 

Your imagery will serve as the historical record of the EFPRP’s mission and be used across our digital and print media.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-resolution photography and video of rural landscapes, wildlife, and forestry operations for the organization's permanent database.
  • Edit and process images/footage for use in press releases, the EFPRP website, and educational campaigns.
  • Deploy to specific rural locations to document fire prevention infrastructure or restoration projects.
  • Organize and tag visual assets within the EFPRP digital library for easy access by other departments.

Must Have

  • Ownership of professional-grade photography and video equipment (DSLR/Mirrorless).
  • Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
  • An artistic eye with a passion for nature and documentary-style photography.
  • Ability to work autonomously in outdoor/rural environments.

Nice to have

  • Drone pilot license (UAV certification) for aerial surveys.
  • Experience in wildlife or landscape photography.
  • Background in archival science or digital asset management.
